Movie Story
Simbu is staying in ground floor of Trisha’s house with his family. He falls in love with her in first sight. Then he makes her fall in love with him. Then Trisha’s parents do not agree for their love. The story moves on and explains what happens.
Good points of the movie
- Though the story line is very old, the screenplay was awesome
- The screenplay was equal to drama movies taken in Hollywood
- There is no BGM in many scenes
- An aggressive love story shown very softly
- Photography was good
- The songs were just awesome on the screen
- Simbu was just awesome
Bad points of the movie
- Not all of the movie lover will like it
- The screenplay type is not very common in India
- BGM type is also not common
- Trisha was not suitable, but its OK
I loved every bit of the film, some say it is just too long or boring. But I cried seeing a scene near to climax.

This is the worst movie i had never seen!!!
The movie sucks!!! Goutham Menon's terrible movie that i had never seen!!!
Simbhu and Trisha combination in this movie really like both of them are brothers and sisters!!!Both of them are duffer's in this movie!!!!
The movie was damn slow and of course the music really sucks!!!
A.R Rahman bgm is out!!! His music is unessary for this movie and his song ecspecially Ommane Penne,Vinaithandi Vaaruvaya and Aaromale really damn squid!!!.When i heard and see the song in theatre it just make me to sleep!!! Stupid A.R Rahman!!!Futhermore he is also not qualified to get oscar and grammy award!!!—-Waste person for this movie!!
On the whole this movie is totally boring and it is a big dissapointment form Goutham Menon and the damn oscar and grammy winner A.R Rahman!!!

Wow… AR Rahmans music was stupid to you? then u shuld have no music taste at all!
The songs were pretty dissapointing. "Kannukul", "Omana Penne" and "Hosanna" were the only good songs – the rest were listenable after a couple of listens. I was expecting more variety in the album, especially cause it was ARRs next album after 2 years, much was expected.

do not agree with this review at all.
In no way is this movie perfect.
This is one of the oldest stories ever and you complain about stories being repeated, I dont understand why this impressed you. Sure, it's a film that can be watched for the songs but otherwise quite dissapointing by Goutham.
The film needs a 6.
Better than Varanam Aayiram though.

Watched the movie.
I had mixed reactions.
Suppan – I feel you are slightly moving towards the biased side of things.
The opening for the film was nice and different. The plot was going somewhere until the song Omana Penne, by when the film just dragged on with this one question – "why did I choose Jessie out of the several other girls?"
Yep – it continues on and on and that one line that is also repetitively said by Silambarasan summed up the film. The movie had a great twist towards the end I loved the way how Goutham altered the story well int he last 5 minutes.
Film was a bit too long but all the songs were great especially with the picturisation and dance steps. So really, just watch the start, the end and in the middle just add in "Jessie and Karthik trying to fall in love without parents disturbing".
Common story – otherwise okay film. Can be watched for the songs.
Final verdict: Old story, old style, old Goutham Menon style but good songs and nice presentation
5 or 6 out of 10.
vtv first half was good and the second half was like a uncontrollable vehicle going in various directions. No logic and no interesting twists in the second half except the climax which was genuine and that scores the movie high. Arrahman's score is one of the best and it surely gives the movie the backbone. i can see some stupid comments by a sucker on arrahman and that was actually like a loser shouting towards a huge wall, like a maniac. Suppan please be a moderator and remove these idiotic comments by such stupids.
in my view this vtv movie has very good 1st half with some humurous one liners. A sluggish second half with a nice genuine twist in climax. Simbu has done underplay but trisha looks stupid in the whole movie. her acting is artificial and its the sour point of the movie. overall its 7/10.

Kacheri Aarambam – 3/10
Has some interesting twists and decent songs. The film tries to be like "Tamizh Padam", with spoofs although not making fun of other films – makes fun of the mass formula used in films. Otherwise not really worth watching.
Paiyya – 7/10
Great songs, great picturisation, good stunts and simple yet entertaining story.

I love the Avatar 3D movie, especially the story line, not solely it brings a completely new sensation however inspiring thoughts of humanity. I heard the New Avatar 2 is comming soon, cannot wait to see it again…!
This film is average. I'll only give it a 5 and that too only for the acting and technical side of it.
The story seems very forced, as if Goutham just wanted to make a movie for the sake of making it and couldnt come up with a fresh story. Not what I expected after Minnale (his last romance/comedy film). Even Vaaranam Aayiram was slightly disappointing but the acting and songs in that made up for the flaws – but VTV just didn't have the same sort of substance. The ending did slightly affect me emotionally but I think if GM went a bit further into the ending, I woulda probably cried.
